Overview:
Enhancing the User Experience for Dexter Trailers
Dexter Index is a leading manufacturer of high-quality trailer for various applications, including hauling equipment, livestock, and recreational vehicles. As part of collaborative partnership, I was tasked with enhancing the user experience (UX) of Dexter Trailer's’ online platform to improve customer engagement, and drive online sales for 2 user types.
Challenges
Outdated User Interface: The existing website had a dated design and navigation structure, resulting in a suboptimal user experience.
Accommodate pages for authenticated and unauthenticated users: The website was not designed according to the varying needs and access levels of different user types, compromising the platform’s overall seamlessness and intuitiveness.
Approach:
Competitive Analysis: Analyzed competitor’s websites and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
Information Architecture: Developed a revised information architecture to streamline navigation and improve content organization.
Wireframing: Implemented dynamic content and features that adapt based on the user’s authentication status, providing a tailored experience for both authenticated and unauthenticated users.
Accessibility: Prioritized accessibility standards to ensure the platform was inclusive and usable for all users, including those with disabilities.
Next Steps:
Continously monitor user feedback and analytics data to identidy areas for further opitmization.
Explore opportunities for integrating emerging technologies, such as augmented reality, to allow trailer customization experience.
Collaborate with marketing teams to implement targeted marketing campaigns and drive traffic to the platform.
