Enhancing the User Experience for Dexter Trailers

Dexter Index is a leading manufacturer of high-quality trailer for various applications, including hauling equipment, livestock, and recreational vehicles. As part of collaborative partnership, I was tasked with enhancing the user experience (UX) of Dexter Trailer's’ online platform to improve customer engagement, and drive online sales for 2 user types.

Challenges

  • Outdated User Interface: The existing website had a dated design and navigation structure, resulting in a suboptimal user experience.

  • Accommodate pages for authenticated and unauthenticated users: The website was not designed according to the varying needs and access levels of different user types, compromising the platform’s overall seamlessness and intuitiveness.

Approach:

  • Competitive Analysis: Analyzed competitor’s websites and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Information Architecture: Developed a revised information architecture to streamline navigation and improve content organization.

  • Wireframing: Implemented dynamic content and features that adapt based on the user’s authentication status, providing a tailored experience for both authenticated and unauthenticated users.

  • Accessibility: Prioritized accessibility standards to ensure the platform was inclusive and usable for all users, including those with disabilities.

Next Steps:

  • Continously monitor user feedback and analytics data to identidy areas for further opitmization.

  • Explore opportunities for integrating emerging technologies, such as augmented reality, to allow trailer customization experience.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement targeted marketing campaigns and drive traffic to the platform.
